We are a small team of experienced engineers and specialists in software, data, AI and security. We build systems, run our own, and stay responsible for them long after they launch.
The team
Experienced, and accountable for our work
Clients work directly with the people doing the work. There are no junior staff learning on the job, and no handover between the people who win the work and the people who deliver it.
Engineers first
Everyone here builds. The people who advise clients on a system have designed, launched and run similar systems themselves.
We run what we build
We run our own software in production. The standards we recommend are the ones we rely on ourselves when something breaks at an inconvenient hour.
Four disciplines, one team
Software, data, AI and security work side by side. Each problem goes to the people best placed to solve it.
Honest about limits
We would rather tell a client not to build something than sell them work they do not need. We expect the same honesty from everyone who joins.
How we work
What working here is like
A few principles apply to every engagement, and they shape the day-to-day work more than any policy does.
- Ownership
- You own a piece of work from the first conversation until it is running in production, rather than a small part of it for a few weeks.
- Standards
- We apply the same engineering standard to every client, from a founder to a large organisation. The work is tested, monitored, secure and properly handed over.
- Evidence
- We write down our decisions, control access and record changes. Our clients have to answer difficult questions, and so do we.
- Range
- The work crosses disciplines. A data engineer sees the security review, and a security engineer sees the product being built.
